Because I'm British...

Lets discuss the weather....

Its raining. Again. It keeps on raining, and raining, and raining some more....

This time last year I was praying for rain, all my veggies were dying, my bean plants produced just ONE bean pod between the six of them, my peas shrivelled up and died.

This year, oh we have enough rain, we now have so much that my fecking strawberries are mush, my onions are balls of slime and my spuds are just little empty jackets where the slugs have slid through the mud and eaten the lot.

Bloooooooooody weather!

British weather is amazing - last year and the year before were dry. We have reservoirs all around the country, but due to leaks and poor maintenance, we had hosepipe bans and serious water shortages...

This year, well most of Yorkshire and large areas of the country are submerged, a dam in Yorkshire is likely to burst, fish and ducks swimming around peoples living rooms....

Can't we just have a little bit of a balance here?

No? Oh well.... worth an ask!

It's been peeing it down here too. So much so the snails have had a field day and ate most of my seedlings (kids and I were growing basil for cooking with) AND my super dooper passion flower plant. :o(
